baz 463
There seems to be more well known male dogs, rather than bitches, is it just down to who owned and ran them or did dogs tend to be the stronger runners, ??. Obviously with out a decent bitch you couldn't of carried on the breed tho. Quote Link to post
chartpolski 23,562
That was his one and only show at the age of 12, CP your old sparring partner is the one holding him This was my moment of glory I remember both those shows, the one with Moscow and the one with Zeus !! That wee waster Chipper gave me a "second" with Moscow, and both Joe and I wanted the rosette for above our mantlepieces and Joe insisted on arm wrestling for it !! He won, best of three, but he cheated on the decider, lifted his elbow off the table !!!!LOL !!!! I supplied and presented the trophies when Zeus won, but I wasn't the Judge, so no impropriety there !! I saw Zeus a few times after you gave him away, and the lad allways had him in good nick, Andy. Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,315
andy, with obvious bull and collie blood in the mix, which do you rate more? I couldn't really answer that birddog as the only dog I've had with Bull in it was Ginny and I'm not sure on the exact % but I'd say maybe an 1/8th? Joe will no doubt put me right on that? She was a super little bitch, ran forever and took the lot,my other runners have been heavily collie influenced and for the most they too showed great endurance, they wouldn't have had the same desire for a rough and tumble that the Ginny bitch had but saying that the Don dog looks as though he doesn't mind a wee bit? I think alot depends on the quarry too? I'm sure Moscow would of loved having those dogs he has now 10 years ago when the bigger gear was all legal?...the one we had with Bull in was brilliant but that's just one albeit from only the one! I've had several heavily collie blooded and they too have done more than I could of imagined if the Bull blood was guaranteed to get them to that Ginnys standard then I would have one tomorrow? Moscow has far more knowledge on what the Bull x added into the mix has accomplished in these types so maybe he'll shout up? ATB Andy Quote Link to post
