Just to add to the thread,,,I know most have seen the pic befor,,,but possibly not tree hands ....   Venus ,,half minshaw,,half coursing dog,,,littler sister to swift,,the black and white bitch fran

I wasn't ever going to comment on this thread ever , I wasn't prepared to say anything about the breed or the men although I've seen a few run and know a lot of the men mentioned including victor gh

I did manage to find a single photograph all be it not a great one. Can't really remember the night but the blue bitch in the picture belonged to my old mate from Workington.   The Handsome guy in

There seems to be more well known male dogs, rather than bitches, is it just down to who owned and ran them or did dogs tend to be the stronger runners, ??. Obviously with out a decent bitch you couldn't of carried on the breed tho.

 That was his one and only show at the age of 12, CP your old sparring partner is the one holding him :D

This was my moment of glory :toast:

I remember both those shows, the one with Moscow and the one with Zeus !! That wee waster Chipper gave me a "second" with Moscow, and both Joe and I wanted the rosette for above our mantlepieces and Joe insisted on arm wrestling for it !! He won, best of three, but he cheated on the decider, lifted his elbow off the table !!!!LOL !!!! I supplied and presented the trophies when Zeus won, but I wasn't the Judge, so no impropriety there !! I saw Zeus a few times after you gave him away, and the lad allways had him in good nick, Andy.

Cheers.

i wouldnt argue with that moscow but it's been done to death now and it's boring,

if im honest he wouldnt have been my 1st choice of bloke to have a pup off but needs must and there wasnt much knocking about at the time

so i took the risk,,,,,,,,,,at the end of the day the only person who should be pissed off is Andy,,,,,and i know he is but he's not harping on about it.

i was at one time saying i had found her in a sack at the side of the canal think i might go back to that story :whistling::icon_redface:

giro did you grow some balls or is it just internet bullying :icon_redface:

Cheers mate. I've got very high hopes for her. I think she's going to make a cracking all rounder. And can't wait to show blackwater it going. ;)

She's hard to keep weight on must be all exercise it get's because she's fed plenty.

I'm sure she's getting the best of everything Dean, some pups are like her for keeping weight Bron was exactly the same.

andy, with obvious bull and collie blood in the mix, which do you rate more?

I couldn't really answer that birddog as the only dog I've had with Bull in it was Ginny and I'm not sure on the exact % but I'd say maybe an 1/8th? Joe will no doubt put me right on that? She was a super little bitch, ran forever and took the lot,my other runners have been heavily collie influenced and for the most they too showed great endurance, they wouldn't have had the same desire for a rough and tumble that the Ginny bitch had but saying that the Don dog looks as though he doesn't mind a wee bit? I think alot depends on the quarry too? I'm sure Moscow would of loved having those dogs he has now 10 years ago when the bigger gear was all legal?...the one we had with Bull in was brilliant but that's just one albeit from only the one! I've had several heavily collie blooded and they too have done more than I could of imagined if the Bull blood was guaranteed to get them to that Ginnys standard then I would have one tomorrow? Moscow has far more knowledge on what the Bull x added into the mix has accomplished in these types so maybe he'll shout up? ATB Andy
