a dash or a quart at most would suit most people the nearer the collie , only suits certain land minshaw man , and if you like running diffrent areas with diffrent types of land etc then a wee bit collie is enough, youle not beat acollie type for concentraition at a burry for a bolting rabb, or working a feild of the roadside for a hare ,but to much collie wel they stalk get to clever for there own good pick there runs , which is good at times but feck if your games a hundred yards away you want your dog to go hell for leather to turn it etc saw some collie lurchers turn the head at game , for some reason when we bred the collie type to the racing whippet grew they were alot more desperate ,lost abit robustness but every one was a prisoner , even in there old age

do yu not think if you get on some ground water ship down wer thers run after run them them over keen dogs burn out aaron

if they are fit darren theyll be fine but on a big nite you can take a pair one of one on the slip ,got a saluk bitch cross collie bottomles stamina in her prime , there not the places like watership down as much nowadays , but if you have a bit of everything well makes the nite more exiting , if you think your going to a place were there unlimited amount of game set youre self a target and take a piar of dogs ;i used to burn dogs out in four seasons now ,i give them turns last longer ,its calld common sense darren ,any eejit can run adog till it drops .jacks starts pulling up. on game or keeling over as its got the heart not the legs , there not machines so dont use them like machines at times ,i think 30 40 runs on rabbs enough for most dogs , at times had a beardie half cross she could catch 50 60 but couldnt catch roe hares on fast land with 50 60 acre feilds ,a lurcher was ment to be an allrounder mate.only run your dog as you see fit not the other man beside you if your talking about going down cornwall only run your dog un till you see her starting to miss dont bother about what anybody else says

mars bars cocla cola gator aid tablet all been done at one time or another , to save a dog or two , but he warnng signs are usaly there long before yo have to go that far , at times ,to test a dog, a mars a day helps you work rest and play ahah ,

Got too disagree, many dogs will not show 'warning' signs. They will simply just 'go'.

Whin, I think your full of crap and dont actually have a clue.... If you are this great hunter, then why, when in norfolk did you slip a fresh dog on a tired hare, head on & knocked the other dog on its arse.

Then when your dog caught it, you got excited ad if it was your first hare?

I along with others here think your a pillock, and you have never contributed anything worthwhile on this topic, its about minshaws & all you yap on about is yourself & what you (wish) you have done
