derbylad1 293
Aaz,what kind of numbers do you reckon your bitch is capable of catching especially down there where there are plenty of bunnies to go at? ATB Andy what kind of numbers haz that mark brick had single with 1 dog aaron Well I'm sure she won't show you up whatever the end result Aaz? The Flick dog was handy on the bunnies like you say and the GH says your laal bitch is a cracker so whenever you have a run with Mark just get her on the best of scran and get her in tip top condition mate and let the dogs do the talking! Moll. 1,770
Yeah I think the words "chocolate and fireguard" spring to mind Johnny if sheep were around? .. In laymans terms not worth a toss lol...shame though if he was a good all round grafter?..ATB Andy there was aphoto of 1 of the pups you bred locked in a pen with 2 lambs by yer man millet surely this pup will b a chocolate fireguard Just like this one..... You see FF, one thing about living on a lambing farm, there can be NO room for errors regarding lambs. Imagine the fun if a dog suddenly thought lamb or mutton were on the menu. Do you really think they are locked in a pen, deliberately terrified to death and that's the training over Training for stock should always be ongoing young or old. Really terrified wouldn't you say When the ewes die, they are left next to the cottage ready for the knacker man to collect, when the big idiot see's them, he runs over tail low wagging furiously and tries to give them a kiss he looks positively distraught when he realises they are dead. The same goes for beef... Millet is training Lil in the same manner 7 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,156
Brilliant post is that Moll with pics to match! Like you say there should NEVER be any risk to livestock from a lurcher or any dog come to that! Personally our mutts are amongst them from the first day they are old enough to go out and then daily and becomes embedded in them that they ain't on the agenda..never EVER had an issue with any of my dogs and livestock..ATB Andy ...oh and for what it's worth I think your doing a brilliant job with Lil Millet. 1 Quote Link to post

Millet 4,497
She's getting there Andy..she twanged a barbed fence the other day when jumping.. resulting in a 1in tear in her back leg...most pup's would of been lame and feeling sorry for themself's but Lil just carried on jumping wooden fence's through out the walk as though nothing was wrong.. Aye,part and parcel of learning to jump mate ain't it? I can recall the day Don cracked a bone in his hind leg,he was the same, limped for two or three strides then just continued on running ,i thought he'd just knocked it kind of like a dead leg? but he had more or less broke his leg! They all seem a wee bit that way from what i've seen? Reggie of our Dean's is the same, seen it with it's pad opened right up and pissing blood from it,,never even walked lame ,where his bitch Sox out of the Greyhound on the otherhand if it steps on a pebble it'll be limping for a week haha..hardy types and hopefully capable of withstanding a few tears, knocks and bangs thats inevitable along the way?..ATB Andy.
