Seen the albums of bryn,s who had grip, traveller etc, he had loads of pictures in there with decent hauls of foxes strung up, think that grip liked teeth, and bambi,s lol... There were two brothers in travellers litter that looked like that Conan dog, one of them was White bith blue and tan patches on it, hound like markings really

just shows my memory aint what it was,lol. thought it was lighter brindle, i would have another in a flash mate, she was a pleasure to own,lost mine at 4yrs, keeled over in a field and that was that,

My lad Frankel works with the son of the chap who owned Conan and we got a look at his pics t'other week ..some really good un's with Conan and Vic's Blue etc:..Conan was pts at 5 1/2 years old it's wrists were fecked,it ran with them bandaged up nigh on every trip...it got to the point it was just too lame and could hardly walk let alone run so the lad had him pts ..shame really but thats the way things go in this game at times..hairyface's last post proves that? That Bulpa dog i owned Baz even as a youngster and i mean not long after starting him away had similar problems,the wrist and metacarple bones leading to his foot were always that sore and swollen that i took him to my local vet back then a Mr Garrett when the dog was hardly 17 month old and he told me to stop doing what i had been doing with him (running him) and keep him as a pet ..honestly if you could of seen him the day after he had run ..his foot was like the end of a baseball bat and he couldn't entertain to put it on the floor. I ran him on ibuprofen all his career..i know they say it can cause liver problems but thats what i done and the amount of times i had him out it wasn't just on the odd occasion he got them ..NEVER ran lame in his life but he would run through the pain barrier as most dogs should once he got sight of a hare or a bambi ..on arriving home it was the 3 legged nodding dog again..but he was still hard at work into his 10th year so he never done too bad? Did any of his pups have the problem? if the other two lads had not pts could of been more pups bred, the lad I know that pts his had lined it with his blue x grey bitch and presumed it was in pup, gutted when she didn't take and the dog was gone

Not that i know of Baz? That Jack i owned had excellent bone structure,wrists and all and he was never lame in his life..he had knocks,bangs and one or two setbacks but nothing ever remotely similar to those old dogs?..maybe summat hereditary in those further back in the breeding?

that album has only 2 dogs in and its conan and blue. awesome album rammed full of pics!! only the odd rabbit is in it the rest is of mostly of deer and hare. i will get it off him and get some scanned to share on here.
