David K 172
I made some nettle beer a while back and the stink when boiling up the nettles filled the house, I was not very popular. When it was fermenting for a week the smell wasn't much better. The finished product was different to anything tasted before but not in a good way, very earthy and if you could imagine the water from your boiled veg with fizz and alcohol then that's it. Nice looking pint with a good head though but I don't thik I'll bother again. This the remains of the nettles after boiling and I thought it tasted like spinach but less tender.
