No scousers seem to know, is it one you just made up :D .................................be good to know what it is.... always interested to learn about other areas like.

What so Scousers are coining old Cockney phrases as their own now are they :blink: ........................i thought it would have to be a bit more exciting than that.

No thats my point i thought it was going to be something different..................i mean you dont catch us running round in shell suits calling each other " la ".........so i just presumed it would be a home grown phrase :D ......f****n nick anything up there !!

What so Scousers are coining old Cockney phrases as their own now are they :blink: ........................i thought it would have to be a bit more exciting than that.

 

It might not be that rhyming slang is taken from you Cockney's (Although Mars bar probably is), different places around England have their own rhyming slang. I know Brummies have used rhyming slang for as long as there has been a Birmingham.

 

Only thing is, this multiculteral epidemic has seen to it that most of our own sayings phrases and slang has disappeared :cray:. All you get out of the kids today is "blood" "Enit" and "Sick" :bad: .

Precisely..................cockney rhyming slang is for............well cockneys !!...............

Other parts of the country have their own slang thats why i wanted to know what a scouse mars bar was in the first place it just interests me all the other cultures not just my own......I think its great some of the different patter you get round different parts of the country....its what makes this country unique :thumbs:

I always thought the ..erm taxing system was a bit harsh in the quad , especially for those poor out of towners you would see trying to hitch a lift home on the dock road every sunday morning

well you would be wrong :D :D ive been many times and met no end of scousers but its a big city and i wont even off touched the surface!!!!!! :thumbs:
