the big chief 3,099 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 i am unsure about willow to be honest pal take the bark off it and melt wax on the edge stops it spliting then microwave it for 30 secands take it out let it go cold then do it 2 or 3 more times you will force dry it give it a sand see what it looks like and press sumat blunt in to it if it leves a big impression i my self wouldnt use it but do they make walking sticks from this wood ? Gonna leave most of the holes open and just use two of the smaller holes . Have some counter sunk m5 nut & inset bolts stainless steel should do !!!! Might be after a top quality sheath.
