Gaz_1989 9,539
Do you think she's looking fitter millet? Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
I'm not sure about her looking fitter as she looked ok to start with Gareth.. her back and backend do seem to be muscling up a bit though.. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Thanks mate. It's hard to see a difference when your with them every day. She's getting plenty of excersise though Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
She looks a teeny weeny bit overweight Gareth, but just a teeny bit, nothing to worry about at this time of year. Just when i compare these recent photos to those you posted on the 21st. Can just be whilst you and her get used to new food, feeding amounts, exercise etc. Or just the camera shots. But don't go changing anything for a while yet anyway, till she levels out, so you have a baseline to work from. Her coat looks in fantastic shape which is a good indication of care, and she is positively smiling Is she neutered? Quote Link to post
bunnys 1,228
Thanks mate. It's hard to see a difference when your with them every day. She's getting plenty of excersise though looking good gareth his she a rescue atb bunnys. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Thanks Moll - she isn't neutered. Why do you ask? Bunnys - she is a rescue of sorts. Sold to me as a bunny dog, her owner died and I knew nothing about her. She's making a cracking dog though. All the best Gaz Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
Just cos neutering can make a difference to her food intake/exercise Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Had this bitch 3 weeks now. Our bond is getting better everyday. Been doing some tug training with her after speaking to sky cat and this seems to of helped our bond and the retrieve. Been excersising her daily, twice most days, running, off lead, chasing tennis ball, long walks etc. Took her lamping the night before last and she had 2 from 4 runs. 1 off a ploughed field and 1 off a golf course. She retrieved the first to about 6 feet away and just dropped it (pretty much dead) and then the second she brought in closer and was more reluctant to give it up but did eventually. This might of been because my mate was there with his dog. The retrieve definitely needs work but apart from that I really can't fault her. Straight back when the lamp goes off, jumps anything, walks to heel etc. She does run very clever and stalks squatters really slowly, she also runs away from the beam in a boomerang type shape and then cuts in from the side in order to guide the rabbit into the open field. Strange but fantastic to watch. Not a very good photo but I think you can see she is taking shape... 1 Quote Link to post
smudge jaylow 19
looks like a strong bitch Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Cheers mate. She is a strong bitch but deceivingly fast. A lot faster than she looks. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
For those that were following this, I've got the bitch looking better now (well I think so anyway), she is doing 5 mile run every morning and then a hour or more mooch in the afternoon at least two or three times a week. She is 100% steady with stock and will jump anything, her obedience is hit and miss. She is either perfect and listens to every word or throws a deaf ear and pretends she can't hear me. But I am working on it. Can't wait to test her towards the end of the year I'm still dubious as to what's in her make up, some people have said definitely no bull but I think there is a dash. She is a dead ringer for some Saluki/Bull/Greys I've seen on here. A lot of folk say they can see collie but I can't. Gaz 1 Quote Link to post
