Had her just over 2 months now and she's doing great, really bonded with her. Just had her out on the lamp for half an hour, I know it's still early in the year and a bit too warm but it was a bit of practice for when the season does start. Only have her 6 runs on a golf course, she missed the lot but ran really well. They don't half shift, she was right up the arse of them though but they just headed straight for home. I was impressed with her returning back to the slip everytime after the lamp went off and didn't hunt up once. Quick photo of her having her grub when we got back... 4 Quote Link to post

Millet 4,497 Posted July 28, 2012 Report Share Posted July 28, 2012 She is deffinitely looking the part Gareth.. ..but i would be carefull on them golf coarses..the bunnie's are like shit of a stick and them putting green's can be pretty slippy and ruin a dog..i used to run a 21 in beddie whippet collie grey she was a light little dog but i ruined her on a golf coarse after she slipped chasing a bunnie..i don't exactly know what damage she done but she never ran the same again..i put it down to a snapped tendon in the front wrist.. Its one of them things really, ive got 3 permissions on golf courses, they hold good numbers and sometimes lead to other permissions if i do a good job on there. I know they are dangerous places, but then i lost my last lurcher in an open field after only having him out 5 times so i think its alot of luck and fate. Had her out last night to get a couple for the pot, my lady wants to do a rabbit casserole for the weekend. She picked up these couple... 1 Quote Link to post

She looks a lot older with that grey on the muzzle but her teeth are in good nick and she plays about like a puppy. She might be 3/4 I guess. She can't half shift and she's nowhere near fit. We had a few weeks off not so long back while I was moving house and swapping jobs so just kicked back in with getting her fit. She's in season at the moment so looks a bit soft but you can see she's taking shape again I think... Quote Link to post
