New spinning reel!

Hi. My trusty abu cardinal 84 has packed in after 18 years and am deciding on what to get for my next reel. main use will be for sea trout, salmon and bass fishing. Had a quick look at a daiwa megaforce,abu cardinal 400 and an okuma. Any other reccomendations around the £50 mark? thanks, tim.

For £50, it has to be a Okuma. I would go for a slightly second hand reel and get a Shimano or a Diawa.

You can get a decent reel now for £50, go into your local tackle shop and ask there advice, you will get to have a feel of a few reel's, you should have a better understanding then, good luck.

i have an okuma epix pro.this is not abad reel for about that kind of money. i use okuma raws for most of my lure/ bass fishing . they are a better reel but considerably dearer. made for salt water fishing as well.

i use an abu cardinal 404 for my lure fishing,can't fault it.

Been fishing with mitchell 300xe's for the last few years. Great reels very light, seem to take abuse well. Atb Mark

i also use the mitchells and cant say a bad word about em......i dont look after things as i should and they are still running just fine.
