They wouldn't say a word, because firstly their playground (the stock market) would collapse, followed by looting and the rest.

Keep the blind blind, after all those at the top have got impenetrable bunkers to go to in the event it did go off, so sod the rest.

It's bullshit. Just google search Fukushima no 4 and read a few articles and expert opinion. I just read that saying all that radioactive materiel could do all that damage is like saying one man can impregnte 100,000 women with one ejaculation. There's enough sperm there, but it's not practically possible.

Bit like the LNG terminals we've got here mate. In the US similar places have to be at least 50 miles away from any centres of population, we've got them smack bang in the middle of the county. 25% of the UK's natural gas comes within 1000 yards of my house in ships and gets unloaded just down the road.. The terminals are also right next door to two oil refineries. If they went, everything else would go too! :icon_eek:

I was over that neck of the woods when the Tsunami hit Japan resulting in the Fukishima disaster.

It was on the News virtualy 24/7 showing everything as it happened and believe me that it was very close to being a All out disaster that would of effected the world .

We will never find out everything But Radioactive particles as it was blew over us via Alaska and Greenland.

It was a Close call.

This takes me to Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station.

All around it you have Petrochemical Companys

Ex ICI ect.

1 Mile to the North you have Hartlepool Pop= 100,000

Then there is all the Villages and Peterlee = another 100,000

12 Mile further North you have at least another 350,000 from Villages = Seaham + Sunderland

To the South and West = Middlesbrough, Redcar, Stockton = 350,000

This Power Station should not be where it is, Disaster waiting to Happen imo.

do you think im ok in bradford pal :o

What do you mean when you say disaster waiting to happen? Do you mean if it exploded? What kind of damage would that do?

Same near me malt Grangemouth refinery one of the biggest. Also the gas at that docks . That's why one of Falkirk stadium stands was stopped, cause it was in the blast zone.and it's about 3me away. I worked in the refinery for a while, you would have no chance if that went up.

Never mind Japan folk don't realise how close we were to being f****d by Chernobyl. Watched a thing about it mate. If it wasnt for those g

Helicopter pilots and crew men ( who all died) throwing sand bags into the reactor it would have went nuclear and according to experts on that show would have took a good portion of Europe. Then the fall out would have f****d us. I don't think thst would happen here though., the Russians didn't update there nuclear power plants.

Sounds very unlikely that this would happen, it is just too unlikely that everyone would turn a blind eye. If it was trully on the verge of catastrophe then the US wouldn't benefit from not making a fuss about it, nor would the global media all decide they best keep quiet. I think people overeact to anything nuclear because it sound scary, but remember we have already dropped over 2,000 nukes in tests and also remeber the only nation to ever use a nuke in anger is America, the world police.

But either way there is f**k all we can do to stop an Earthquake so there is no point worrying about it, just keep eating chips.
