Now you can get the 22wm with the vmax bullet heavier round - thinking of changing the 17hmr for the 22wm. What do you all think ? does any one use the 22wm with the vmax bullet much ? More downrange energy and a bigger pill so less wind effect. But if you are perfectly happy with how your .17 shoots then I don't see you gaining much by changing just for the sake of changing! My WMR is a semi, though I am thinking of swapping it for a bolt action as the longer range round lends itself more to a nice, accurate, consistent bolt action. I have an LR semi which is great for whacking large numbers of bunnies quickly, the WMR tends to get used for more deliberate shots so the semi isn't as much of an advantage. Quote Link to post
steyrman 0 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Share Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) hi there this is my first post on the site so here goes .I have had a 17hmr and moved onto the .22wmr i used the 35g Hornady certainly has more stopping power than the hmr but mine being a semi auto lacked in accuracy. I have now recently just moved up to a Hornet and use the same 35 g Hornady bullets centre fire of course and am more than impressed with it regards John Edited May 17, 2012 by steyrman Quote Link to post
