point seek destroy what you hunting taliban

f**k me training a dog to sit/stay is hardly rocket science

but why theres no point if their for hares

Is coursing all you manage to do then Ferret features?

AYE,

I like mine well trained because I mainly hunt rabbits, either with ferrets or lamp. I only rarely run any bigger stuff and never fox these days.Dogs that can only course wouldn't interest me at all.

I don't like robotic dogs who look for commands all the time, I like a dog after it's had it's aprentaship to know the score and work off it's own initiative. But not just a slip and point dog. There's so much more to a dog working then just that but sit stay paw play dead is not the kind of obedience I look for

Maybe cuz when one dog or two dogs are coursing, if you trained your dog to sit or down its under control its not going to rip your arm off with all the pulling to get at the hare is it now think about it.

never seen to many dogs that havnt pulled on the lead looking of when another dog is getting a course if im picking ye up right?
