chillitt 0
I got a letter form the council inviting me to a seminar - so their 'experts could tell me ; How to optimise the business oppertunity of the ban, how to inforce the ban, and where I could get more of thier poxy stickers.. the seminar was called 'Smoke Freedom'!!! So freedom through banning things then My shop is listed so I cannot put up the poxy stickers, but that means a 5000 quid fine... And if you think thats bad, as of I think the 27th of this month, it will be illegal to sell bull bars for 4x4s, but as there is no agrged description of a bull bar, its been put off for 6 months. The law banning these sales is the General Products Safety Regulations 2005, which prohibits the placing on the market of any dangerous goods. It will therefore be illegal to place on the market, or offer for sale, any non-compliant FPS after 25th May 2007. So, they have banned the sale of ANYTHING that is 'Dangerous'.... seems a little open ended to me..

Simoman 110
I gave up smoking 7 years ago to try and avoid cancer. I hate smoke and going to pubs and other public places which are smoky with my kids who shouldn't have to inhale second hand smoke......... danielt 1
Its been in place in Wales for a month or so now, and i think its great, plus many smokers have said that too. Smoking outside pubs in shelters has brought many people together for a chat and alike. I know no one is going to agree, but it surely is better to have the ban than without it. charlotte hill 0
May I start by saying I'm a social smoker I'm really not bothered either way about this, in many ways its good. Nothing is worse than going for a meal and having people chuffing next to you
Guest Macnas
You'll just do what we do here in Ireland, go outside for a smoke. At the very least, it means you don't have to put up with non-smokers whinging...
