secretagentmole 1,701
Yelled in a Noddy Holder imitation. Just received a package via Parcelforce. Now in the for sale section on here somebody advertised 3 springer rifles, an Orginal 27, a BSA Meteor and a Webley Falcon that had been chromed, not blued (the BSA and the Webley are Brum guns)! Well the price got Mole interested and after checking the seller's posts I found he had dealt with someone we knew off here and decided to have a punt. Booked Parcelmonkey to collect on Thursday and they did not, so he took to the PO yesterday and sent them next day, we sent him the money! Well I got the guns today. Knock me down with a feather if they were not in better condition than he described! Beautiful, some use marks on some actions, but these were guns built to be used, not put in a display case. All as described, the Webley does not cock, but does compress, so some tinkering needed there, but I have 3 super springers, purchase price £30!!! Postage next day for a Saturday delivery cost us £28.30! The seller's username is Tidy. These are peaches, absolute peaches. Edited May 12, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
Mrs Mole 74
Pix Mike? Tony, He's too busy playing, looking at tuning kits, the chrono will be out in a moment... Mary 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
The Original has been chronoed at 5.45 foot pound energy, these were a target rifle so this is the expected power! The BSA is not being chronoed, even though it works the breach seal does not (think it was an orginal pre 1974 breach seal), the spring is not good (cocks in three stages, not equal pressure all the way through, I think the spring may be in more than one piece). The Webley does not cock, but looks sooo nice! (Shiny thing, shiny shiny thing)! The Original is in near mint condition, beautiful.... Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
The Meteor will, she needs a new spring, breach seal, probably all new washers all the way through, the Webley needs attention too, the one that does not is the Diana/Original 27 target rifle! Quote Link to post
