Guest Ditch_Shitter
Cramp; Any more - publicly acceptable! - info on ye " Stink Tube " would be nice, please mate. I'd actually be most intrigued to know what that screw capped thing is and where one might obtain one? That aside; Thanks for the inspiration! My own devious mind is already working on how best to obtain a sure fire contents for any such device. Feral, of course! Quote Link to post
Guest Scuba1
Ok here we go Take 60 to 90cm long tube of 120mm drain pipe and drill loads of 10mm hole in it. take two closed en caps for the tube one you fit with the rubber that comes with it so it fits nice and snug the other one you dril thre hohle through the tube and end cap and put some self taping scews in there so you can open it easy. in the centre of each end cap you drill a 8mm hole and using a 8mm bolt 2 nuts and 2 wide washers you make a kind of axle with the bolt head and a bit of the bolt sticking out about 10 to 15 mm. I used to use the plastic chain that you can get at any DIY stote and make a triangle out of it with the end links over the bolt heads that are stickig out of the end caps. Tie a lenght of rope to the middle of the chain and fill it with rabbit or chicken guts and tow the thing home from the furthest point of your walk out in the sticks. Don't be surprised if you have a badger or two having a scrap at your dor step an hour or two after It worked for me Ps. I drilled the holes in the tube in a sraight line, that way I could tape them up before filling it and just had to pull the tape of when i used it without having guts and bits dripping all over me on my walk out Edited May 20, 2007 by Scuba1 Quote Link to post

Cheers for the food for thought, lads I'm pretty sure you can stake it out in a place that is used by foxes, and, wait for the fox from a distance. That is what I shall be trying anyway. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Well, I haven't exactly been letting the grass grow under my feet today either! Ready To Be Worked On! I may well finish it tonight ~ if I don't sneak out with the rifle! See how the weather looks when I'm through here. Oh, and I have my good mate Tom, the night time Taxi Driver, on the look out for road kill moggys for me too! Reckons he sees a fair few of them in his travels. And he's not the sort of guy to be averse to chucking one in the boot either I'm going to try hanging it from a tree. I have this gorgeous spot picked out. Big Horse Chestnut. It's only 150 yards from here and about yards from a perfect fence post. Just the right height for a standing shot off the top of it. Better yet; It's a shot straight along a low hedge and beyond it is nothing but the bog. So, I can virtually check for action from my front door. If I get a customer, I'll only need walk a hundred yards up my track and take calm, steady aim! Then saunter back down here and tell ye all about it! Oh, and I picked up a tin of Racing Green spray paint. I favour that shade for this terrain. One has to be enviromentally friendly  Quote Link to post
