basically im pissed off, i was walking my dog round the usual fields and walked past a barn that i have permission to shoot my air rifle, this is the only place i have permission to shoot on at the minuite as im just starting out. so i walked past and the farmer stopped me as he was about to drive out the barn in his 4x4 and asked me in an angry voice a load of questions like "is that your dog?" "when did i buy it?" "who did i buy it off" etc etc then just sped off without a goodbye or nothing. Basically hes trying to say iv nicked her... im sick of it to be honest, iv only had permission there about 2 month. Iv been going down alot to try get on his good side but everytime i ask him a question or try make conversation im getting one word answers then he walks off... im young but there no need to accuse me of thieving my dog and treating me like a retard. i dont want to be on his bad side as its the only place i can shoot but im not going to be made a mug of. :censored: sake.

Tell him to f**k off and tell him he's a nosey twat and lose the only premission you have - or learn very smartly that farmers can be amongst the most rude, contrary, ignorant folk you'll ever deal with and keep your permission. I make a large part of my living working for farmers and could write a book on their quirkiness...having said that though most are obliging, reliable, genuine and once you get to know them they'll do anything for you. Farmers get itchy backs too - try scratching a few(metaphorically of course) and you'll be surprised at the outcome. Take care mate.

Did he actually ask you outright if the dog was stolen, or are you just insinuating he said that from the questions he did actually ask..? Farmers aren't known for their social skills due to them spending a large part of their lives away from other people. They don't often have time for the niceties, most I've met are men of very few words and talk straight to the point. I wouldn't get all worked up about it, just accept that not everybody you meet in life is going to act how you personally think they should act..
