Brian-911 210
My pup 4 and half months has gone off her food, I did get rid of my whippet last Saturday buy she seems to of been okay, hardly any whining what so ever which I was surprised at. Thing is I say she's not eating but shes just picking the meat and leaving the rest where as before she would eat a whole bowl and more if I offered !! Thinking maybe leave out the meat for couple days and just give her biscuit ?? Quote Link to post

Brian-911 210
Thing is her diet hasn't changed, what I'm giving her she used to bang it down. Tonight she had brown rice, veg, half a beef frying steak, and a few handfuls of biscuit. I even put a tiny bit of gravy on it ! Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
She may have started teething, which could make her gums sore and make her unwilling to chew on hard biscuits if her teeth are loose. That's one possibility, and of course being on her own will make a big difference. Try soaking the biscuit in a very weak gravy mixture: mostly hot water. Gravy granules are too full of salt to feed all the time: not healthy. Better still, get some chicken wings and carcases that she can chew away at: will help her pass the time, loosen teeth naturally and give her some good grub at the same time. Quote Link to post
