ferret100 47
Im not 100% iv just put them 2gether in the hutch and she just tried pulling him into the sleeping area by the scruff That's very normal behaviour, jills drag kits wherever they want, if it's into a sleeping area then she is going to look after this kit well. If you have a hob kit now and are waiting on a jill kit from the same litter and breeder, give them a call and find out how old your kits are. Simple details can be important. Quote Link to post

tomas 9
Their just over 8 weeks. iv tried the older jill with the young 2 and all she kept doing was dragging the hob kit into the sleep box but she ddnt seem to be bothered about tge jill kit is this normal Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
I'd say it's pretty normal. If the kits are 8 weeks, I'd put them both in with the jill full-time and let them get on with it. If they keep being separated, then the jill will do her best to drag him away and mother him as she won't know when the hob kit that she knows best is going to be taken away from her again, so if you leave them all together things should settle down very quickly. tomas 9
Thank you for advice. would u advice leaving them all in the hutch 1st its bout 4ft long or shall i put them in the run where the adult jill is kept? Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Would be best to put them all together in whatever is the largest run/cage you have. As long as they have a dark nest box attached to the run, then the more space available for them all the better. Quote Link to post
tomas 9
Ta for your advice il put them all in da run fri when im off to keep an eye on them Quote Link to post
The one 8,482
You might want to put a pipe etc something the kits can get into but the jill cant so if they want away from her and a bit of peace they can Quote Link to post
