MUDD 374
My mate told me over the phone that the red bellmans not as accurate as the peips box, he's also tried everything and can't change it back to metres it's stuck on feet. Think I might go for a pulse myself. Anyone any links apart from face west ? Edited May 10, 2012 by MUDD Quote Link to post

MUDD 374
http://snowsummit.nl/lawine-veiligheid/piepers.html Thats a bit clearer mudd Ar lads going for these over the new b&f now ? Seems to be the case with lads I know pal. I sold my old b&f to a fella I dig with he reckons the old peips box is better than the new red bulky one. My other mate has the new setup and he says it's not as accurate as the old one, he's had both. Though seeing I'll not be doing anything untill september I'll not get to see it in action for myself until then. I've had a few pm's about the barryvox and tbh most apart from one were all positive reviews for accuracy and not breaking in on the side of the tube like the b&f. Even down to points such as b&fs shit customer aftercare compared to mammuts which is considerably better. I think I'm set on a pulse. Quote Link to post
MUDD 374
http://snowsummit.nl/lawine-veiligheid/piepers.html There a bit expensive on that site mate. Most I've seen are going for £299. I seen a few on eBay at £235 with £25 p&p don't think that price with a 5 year warrenty could be beaten but I'm trying too lol. Quote Link to post
MUDD 374
Plus I actually liked the bleeping on the peips box. Reason being if your digging to a dog and it's down a considerable depth that you can't hear any baying etc. you knew by the sound of the box if the dog had moved position or was on the move again, which happens regularly if your doing big places. The new box hasn't got the bleep as already stated. The barryvox pulse does. Edited May 10, 2012 by MUDD 1 Quote Link to post

Not a hope il be buying the new b&f box didnt know they didnt have that change in tone bleeping when depths change like that ... what do they actually do when it happends? Quote Link to post

The new b&f has NO tone at all. The old peips one as you prob know did. that's why I liked it because if the dog was settled the same tone was consistent while you were digging then you knew if there was movement, if the tone had changed. With the new one because you havnt got this at all, i can only imagine myself constantly looking over to the box to confirm the reading hasn't changed rather than get the obvious tone alert you would have got with the older box.
