air arms s200 leaking filler adapter please help!!!!

hey up guys bought myself a aa s200 about 1 month ago off this site and i noticed the peassure dropping over night i didn't think much of this untill tonight i filled it to 160 bar and airs leaking right at the end of the filler cap i havn't got the money to send it away to be serived so i was hoping somebody could tell me what to do thank you for advice jon

Hi mate I just had mine replace the filler cap cost me 10 quid at mine local gun shop

Think so think just screw off mate i took mine gun shop and he did it in 15 min

Take care to empty gun before removing filler!

 

Would be a bad day otherwise :-)

 

I've seen a few filler valves screwed in using PTFE tape.

Yep, easy to replace but as Chris says, empty the thing first once it gets down to 50 to 70 bar the gun will vent the rest of the air with either a big loud shssssss sound or a gentle 'Sigh'.

 

I went to my local PirTek outlet and the valve was pennies compared to the gunshop wanted to charge me

thank for advice guys, just checked my gun i pumped it up to 160 bar last night now its completely empty hope i can fix it how do you get the cap off i dont want to break the the rifle, its the old mk2?

Hold the front brass in a vice; wrap it carefully soas not to scratch the metal like I did

 

Then use a spanner, wrench or spanner to remove the nipple unit.
