lurcher330 2,301
Could have at least put up some subtitles! LOL Would probably kill the buzz a bit, but could you not race on a track? there is no track for unregistered horses ie 3/4 breds and 7/8ths
Ratreeper 441
Lads would you think the same about a hunt with loads of horses and hounds blocking roads When has anyone chased a fox down a dual carriageway? Nevermind on purpose, they hunt in the country and are in fields for 99% of the hunt and cross small roads around villages. Anyway I think the point is more the attitude of doing whatever the f**k you want with no regard for other people, than the actual horse racing itself. no your just a racist admit it How am I being racist, I said it's daft to ride a horse on a motorway and I couldn't give a shit who is sat on it. I don't get what you are on about.

jsmith 103
Hey lads this is Ireland you've always got to keep an eye open for the odd horse trotting down the middle of the road. The way the price of petrol is going you'll be seeing a lot more of them in the future.

If it was someone in a red coat that had chosen to ride down the middle of a road, into oncoming traffic etc as a way of saying f**k you to the rest of society am sure people would disaprove of it in the same way
lurcher330 2,301
The way it is now if you are caught doing it you lose your driving licences, there is a meeting every year called king of the road where they close off the roads to trot the horses on,it is a high risk sport and accidents do happen ,but if the police could be informed about it and supervise it with maybe a rolling road block it would be over and done with with in 5 minutes, which would be much easier to do on a dual carriage . http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=z7drSY1kJNQ

Judge people on how they choose to behave, not what stereotype you think they are. If some travellers behave like that, then they are just as guilty as if anyone else did it and pulling the race card to try and get out of if it is pathetic. Wxm 1,638
I was road racing my 3/4 bred from the time she was about 2 1/2 until she was around 5 and i the one i was on about it was her 2nd race ,so that would of being 1993 which would of actually only made me 12 coming 13 but what that copper done was just making a dangerous situation a lot more dangerous ,another time when we where setting up for a race the police pulled and they escorted us to the new (at the time)kilcock bypass that was still being build and told us to work away, btw when i gave up racing her i start riding her doing cross country and hunts and a small bit of show jumping (once i got her to canter from the take off)but that was when i started to grow up ,if i thought my kids where at that game i would take their horse off them, but they still use my 22 year old 3/4 bred ex road racer riding and driving so i think they will get much racing out of her dont think you have to justify your self to no 1 mate, you've admitted it may have been a silly thing to do and you've grown up now, you learn from your mistakes. atb
