richmcgin 32
I have a sako in 1:12 it is super accurate but there are limitations on bullet length, its not the grain of the bullets it the length that contacts the lands that causes the issues so if you can find a heavy bullet with a short length that contacts the lands your in!!, i have failed to find one in 10 years mind!. I always zero dead on and have no problems but one thing i will say about this is that the effect that tempature has on this round with its point of impact, i have zero`d it once at a temp of 2.4c and when the temp went up to 19c the impact had shifted up a full 2" up , this is not something i have ever encountered to this degree with other calibres. Bloody good round though i wouldnt swap it for anything. Quote Link to post

Must admit I havnt noticed the temp thing either, I allways use a AOL guide to seat the bullets, same distance from the lands Quote Link to post
muddy210 34
223 is a cracking round for the foxes for as far as most people can honestly shoot them a 223 with a 1 in 9 twist barrel will shoot the majority of the 223 bullets mine loves the 55 grains i have the remy 700 pss its very very accurate and will bug hole 5 shots at 100 yards every time its also a good calibre in the borders on the roe but as its a heavy old gun it stay at home for these trips most the time its not much use on the sika i would say them things take some hitting i tend to use the 270 on them for the extra insurance.
