night vision add on

Recommended Posts

hi there i have recently bought myself a night vision monocular i wanted to know the best way to set this up to my scope and also does anyone have any recommendations on a decent infra red light to make the monocular clearer it has one built on but its not that clear alone.

i have a http://www.bestbinocularsforbirdwatching.org.uk/121/ i held it in front of my scope and could see a bit through it but should it be set up behind the scope? whats the best ways of setting up and seeing the cross hairs i do have illuminated recticle that goes either green or red at various different levels i am desperate to have a go at night vision as i have now gained even more land ridden with bunnies

if there is anyone in the lincolnshire area who could come to scunthorpe and give me some tips i would be happy to take them out to some good permissions i am lucky to have obtained 80 acres within the past 2 months

you may have probs with the one you have as its a 3x mag you may be lucky and get the crosshairs in focus but my son in law still messing with his the best add on is a 1xmag and a low mag scope as for illumination its needs a lot so torches with ir lense wont work need to be a laser the more light you throw at it the better

tried using this set-up, gave up when it would`nt focus below 100 yards, was told by someone who was well into photography that i should have rigged up some sort of reducer on the front of the scope to bring the focus closer, mite try it sometime (nv was behind the scope) would have been good on a rimfire tho
