Just a general question.

When looking into a dogs background, and looking at the lines etc.. i've never come to terms with what it actually means by ''4th gen'' and so on, Was just wondering if any of the more knowledgeable dog men on the site would care to enlighten me.

If you have, say, a first cross Deerhound/Greyhound, it's classed as an "F1", or 1st cross or 1st generation. If you then mated that with another 1st cross Deer/Grey, the prodgeny would be "F2" or 2nd generation and so on down the line.

Cheers.
