kenny14 656
My sisters a veggie, she tells me its for "health reasons" then she starts spouting shite about how im wearing cows skin and I'll be so1ry when I get a heart attack from eating red meat She must mean it's more healthy for the cow not to be killed and eaten! Meals without meat would be just so f***ing boring, and whenever I eat a meal that's mostly veg, no matter how much I eat, I'm starving again within an hour. kenny14 656
The girls friend is a veggie yet she eats cheeseburgers from McDonalds.... Honestly when we are out for a meal as a group it takes all my energy not to say something. She's not a veggie shes just a fussy c**t!! I like to sit next to her when i order and get a great big steak.....when they ask how i like it cooked i just say "wipe its arse and walk it passed the radiator".... McDonalds burgers containing meat? You'd get more nourishment from eating the box! And before the tone gets lowered, I mean what the burger's served in!!!

hugo1 31
i love vegies moaning about people eating meat if we didn't eat meat the livestock wouldn't of had a life in the first place no one is going to have a hird of cows as pets are they so its better to live a short life than not one at all
Moll. 1,770
A mate of mine is a veggie. She hunted with lurchers, raised her own meat (Lamb, capons etc) for slaughter and owned a fish and chip shop. She was the first person to show me how to skin and gut a rabbit
Born Hunter 17,798
Never had a problem with veggies, usually good bit of banter with them to be fair. If anything I have found that they usually have a lot of respect for me because I am willing to hunt what I eat and so have a better connection with the meat that is on my plate.
rob190364 2,594
I honestly don't think people connect burgers, bacon etc. with the animals that they come from....even chickens! Don't get me wrong, I know everyone knows that beef is cows, bacon is pigs etc. but I think the seperation between a packet of meat in a supermarket and a cow in a field is so big that it's easy for people to disassociate the two. I've used this example before but my brother in laws father sat at the dinner table saying how it's cruel to shoot pigeons while at exactly the same time eating chicken from a buffet, it honestly looked like he was taking the piss but it didn't cross his mind for 2 seconds what a hypocrit he was being. And I bet 99.9% of non-hunting, non-veggies would rather eat 1000 chickens from a supermarket than kill a single chicken themselves for the table, even if that chicken had led a decent life in a free range farm and they knew that the 1000 chickens from the supermarket had never seen daylight in their lives. I used to work with a girl who was a meat eater and applied for a job at an abbatoir, she saw one pig get killed and was horrified so left straight away and never ate pork ever again....but still carried on eating chicken, beef etc. People are f'ckin wierd!

moonlighter 1,164
I read an interesting article in a health magazine a while ago, regarding top athletes being compromised by been a vegi. In a nut shell by being a vegi your missing out of nutrients that only meat can provide, and that soya and other protein substitutes carnt provide. Probally wouldn't be an issue for your average joe, but for an athlete, then yes.

Many vegies claim that 'we can get all the vitamins, protein etc from vegetables and nuts, so there's no need to eat meat'. In part that's true, but our digestive system can't extract and convert many of these as efficiently as it can from meat. I always look at it this way - On the African savanah, all the herbivores, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Atelope etc spend the vast majority of their time eating grass and other vegetation. While carnivores such as Lions, Leopards and wild Dogs are either hunting, sleeping or on the lookout for a mate...... Bit of a no brainer really!

I read somewhere before that the reason some folk thrive on a veggie diet and others don,t is to do with your blood type and your ancestory, if you descend from Europe ( nuts, seeds, etc ) you are fine on a vegetarian diet but if you are descended from Africa, Asia etc ( meat eaters ) you won,t do well on a veggie diet, Don,t know if theres any truth in it though lol
