i used to start my dog with experience dogs, but the only problem i found was that sometimes it had an oposite effect and sometimes if the other dog cops the fox wrong ie the back end the inesperience dog will get a face full of teeth, now i know some dogs dont mind it and theyll take what evers thrown at them but some dogs dont like this 1st time and you can put a dog off for the rest of its working life as i have saw on many occassion. I find that introducing a young to a fox on its own to start has a lot of a better out come aspecially with a dog of your dogs age go out in september call in a nieve fox and see what the dogs made of 1st one theyll either kill or just throw it around i sometimes give them a hand and what i have done then is took them out after with a more experienced dog let them get stook into the fox then let the pup in after on a couplethey soon pick it up if theyve got it in them mate . I think youve got to get a pup to understand what mr fox is all about
