brambles 3,335
It depends on the individual dogs imo, at the moment I have a 9 year old Russell bitch kenneled with a 2 year old gh/ sal/ whipp dog and there has never been any trouble, also have a 9wk old gh/sal/whipp bitch kenneled with a 8yrs old beardie gh bitch and there is no trouble, but I do believe its about knowing your dogs temprement attitude towards other dogs and the socialising with other dogs from an early age. Tallyho 181
we would never put same sex in a kennel, but saying that we put mother and son intogether once, went off somwhere when we came back they had half killed each other, so now they are all kenneled on their own . but dogs differ and you may find both sex works for you , but personally i wouldnt do it . paulus 26
as i said earlier the pup was put in with his sire at 8 weeks old that was 5 years this december, all depends on the breed and temprement of the dogs, mine miss each other when seperated and are not happy or settled until there back togeather.
