self roatating incubater how much

If your only taking 10 eggs then why spend the money on the self turners. Just get a basic one and turn them yourself. Take you 2 seconds........ :thumbs:

MY mate has a broody bantam, but it came off the eggs mid sit so dont want to risk that, he has another hen thats gone broody but i dont know if its his husbandry to blame, the egss i have i wont get again so dont want to waste them, there fresh how long will they last, there in a egg box in my caravan in the garden no heating on, ive been told to just turn the box over everyday

Better if you turn them at least 3 x per day, more if possible, always an odd number though :thumbs:

Pity you were not nearer me i could have put them in my incubator, got room at the mo.

I totally agree with Moll, heard some great hatch rates in the Mini Advanced. I used a simular Incubator called a Turn X a good few years back which hatched out everything <link below>, the sphere shape of these incubators distribute the heat more even than most cabinet systems, this eliminates the need for mapping when searching for hotter and cooler spots.

 

I agree with 2.8 guy about the use of some Bantams, some are dead good and some just get off willy nilly and wreck eggs, had a couple of good broodie slikies that you had to lift off the nest to feed and drink, I'm sure some of these would never get off and feed if you didn't lift them off 4 - 5 times a day.
