Christamas came early yesterday i picked up my Bargain .177 Tx200, the man has hardely used it since new not even broken in, looks new to be honnest, cant belive it, have used BSA springers all my life but took this out for half hour and i know what all the fuss is about, there in a totaly different leauge!.

It came with with a MTC Viper Scope 10 x 44 now im used to a 3-9 x 40 Scope and this dose me fine for Huntng needs, so do you think this scope is a bit of over kill? or is it realy worth holding onto and keeping on the rifle?

Any advice with the TX200 or MTC Scope would be great, i feel abit out of my depth at the moment and am handling it like its a new born Baby if not better haha!

Many Thanks Ben.

Awsome rifle mate keep it....they are a 100 times better than any BSA springer...i will also sugguest that you change the Viper scope for something designed for recoiling rifles....they work ok but a heavy jolt will fk it up mate

In my eyes the TX200 is the best spring rifle in the world..out of curiosity how much did you pay for it?

Nice gun indeed

10x44 nope not overkill at all I like scopes with variable zoom and a 50 mm objective, usually a 3.5 to 10 or a 4-12 is all I will ever need, the high mag is great for surgical precision placement of pellet and range finding, the lower end is great for lowlight and lamping :)

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the Viper was springer rated?

Its not mate here is link http://www.mtcoptics...tcScope_Con.htm

Depends on what version you have though

After looking at pics again i can see the version he has is ok for recoiling rifles but then as mike has said the TX has very little recoil anyway

Hi

A bargain or what!!!!!

Keep them both,a good combination.10mag true mildot and 44 objective ideal for hunting and hft and depth of field, not to mention multi aim points and the clarity!!!!
