MATTI 34
Tyson do you find the dog you have out of "Wolf" o.k. with other dog's, a mate of mine used him as stud on his bitch that was bred from "Lucky" line's, and the pup he kept back is fairly aggresive with other's when travelling or if the other dog has caught and he want's it. The dog is 11 month's old and very keen has'nt really done much but look's promising, apart from his mood swing's.

When I used to run on the fens all the time I NEVER ran a youngster with an experienced dog: it is a fallacy that they need to be shown how to strike if they are properly bred: by starting them off on shorter (not kick ups ) slips on ground that suited a dog better than a hare: eg soft rough plough or stubble, which gave a youngster more opportunty and hampered the hare. Where is the problem if it misses the odd one: dogs try harder if they aren't rewarded EVERY time for their efforts: basic dog pschycology. If that wasn't the case then wild dogs and wolves would have died out if they gave up trying when they didn't catch. If an experienced dog is slipped in if it looks like the young dog is struggling, what does that say to it: don't bother trying that hard cos there's going to be back up coming!
