zx10mike 137
8 weeks min in leicetser but my pal in gloucester waited 4 months.yet i sold a rifle to a chap who had one through in a week. Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Had a discussion in The Gun Cupboard (Castle Ashby, Northants) and apparently northants are taking 4 months even to do a variation and up to almost 8 months for a new FAC. I feel chuffed with my own area now - 1 for 1 variation turned round in a fortnight Quote Link to post

GILLYDOG 18
just got mine 4 weeks from sending in application 2 days for cert to arrive after fao visit, northumbria police Quote Link to post
riflehunter583 58
not much consistency. sounds like the police need to get there act together. nothing unusual there then. Quote Link to post
PlasticJock 539
Fallout of the government deferring responsibility to police forces, if it's a paid service surely we should expect reasonable times Quote Link to post
lksopener 105
It's a piss take in all honesty. Notts are at 20 weeks currently! My mate just got his and it took six months, thank god I already have mine. The big shooting groups BASC etc need to get lobbying for a national standard. There should be no reason in my opinion that the wait should exceed 8 weeks. Quote Link to post
