I use a bike and normally do about 4 to 6 mile, i also have the dog on a lead. Otherwise he will race up and down and can burn them selves out, so when on lead can regulate how fast they are trotting cantering ect. Thats just the way i do it  Atb

you can get a anti shock type lead holder that attaches to the bike and its then legal to pedal with the dog on the roads (so i was told).

it has springs to stop the dog jerking you off the bike when it sees something and tries the mad dash for it.

I go in the local park and also on a few canal paths and country trails with the bike and usually just let the dogs run along side me at a nice steady pace. I like it more than the dogs some days, especially at end of summer when your getting ready for the start of the coming season.

It beats walking em fit. unless you have a lamp in your hand at the same time..lol

I had exactly the same happen to me several year's ago which resulted in 2 dog's running a hare on tarmac with lead's on.. :icon_eek: ..luckely they lost it in long wheat...but on there return a silly woman driver would not slow down so i had to jump infront of the car an scream at her...the good old day's :D ..

I am realy looking forwar to brushing the dust of my old push iron an getting this pup out when she is old enough..the route i do is around 3mile on the lead then 2 mile of the lead which i find very therapeutic.. :D
