is it ilegal to hunt muntjac with dogs? because they have no season, theyre classed as vermin nd pests, just like a rabbit would be, if they are illegal why?

yes it is illigal they come under the deer act and must be shot with the apropriate calibre rifle ,or shotgun under certain cercumstances .during daylight hours

they are classed as deer but becouse of the damage they do to young trees there is technicly no closed season to enable them to be thined out

gibbo ive only seen one around us, old keepers and that say theyve shot them around here, and yeah theyre up there joel so im pretty sure they can be here

thats a 1st for me ,north of the humber ???? so maybe we'll see some shortly as they are a bloody pest

time will tell ,sounds like someone may have imported some over the bridge or they have gone the scenic route LOL

im not convinced as yet due to the fact of all the shooting around us no one has ever mentioned it

were in the middle of some massive shoots and no one seems to speak about them

a dog would flush or even peg it if stuck in brambles or thick bushes ?

just my thoughts though
