Celtic Stickmakers Club will hold an open stickmaking competition at this years Clondulane Country Fair on Saturday 9th June in the following Stick Classes:

 

1.Mountain Staff or Hill Walker,Wood , all Horn , including

 

Ram , Buffalo , Cow , including Antler

 

2.Horn Thumbstick- Plain .

 

3.Wood Thumbstick- Plain

 

4. Leg Cleek , Horn , Wood, one or two pieces .

 

5.Horn Market Stick – Ram .

 

6. Wood Market Stick one or two pieces .

 

7. Blackthorn – Walker , Horn or Wood , Plain

 

8.Wood Walker , any head , Wood or Horn .

 

9. Fancy Stick , any carved head , Wood , Horn , Buffalo , Ram ,

or Antler .

 

10. Novice Horn , any Horn handled stick , plain or fancy .

 

11. Novice Wood , any Wood one or two pieces .

 

12. Cardigan stick one or two pieces .

 

13. Cardigan stick – Horn .

 

14. Horn Market Stick – Buffalo .

 

15. Freestyle – hill or walking stick –one piece – uncarved – in

natural state .
