Been lucky to "nab" a red or two in years gone by and apart from one i think the remainder were all took with a wee bit of fortune..for example something that hindered the darn things lol..pulling the

think i was up to about 50 when i got to it but there was a bend in the road had to slow down and the deer was gone

as you say about 50 when you got to it. you would have needed to travel faster than the animal to get to it.

i have read that the saluki is the fastest dog after around 1000 yards. whippets the fastest upto 100yds then the greyhound upto a 1000 or so yards then the saluki takes over.

must need calibrating then pal thats what it said........whats average speed of a roe then please if you dont mind me asking???

Well after intensive research and carefully studying roe on different terrain around the country i can safely say i have no idea, but know there isnt a roe alive, or any other British deer species that has ever attained 50mph unless its in the game dealers truck.............
