Waste of time these deer thread's they alway's get pulled and the last few ive seen on here that got pulled never seen folk's putting photo's on seen a few slightly heated debate's that's about it adm

Iam sure it says in the book deer of britain and ireland written by peter carne that wapiti (elk) where introduced into the red deer of grizedale.

Is Tom still up in Caithness and does he still keep his deerhound crosses ? I used to go up there quite a bit for a gallop and a mate of mine went out with Tom, he said he was mad as a hatter. They did floor something that night, but my mate said the methods were a little unorthodox :laugh:

last i heard year back he had cancer in his spine ......

I used to enjoy his writings in earth dog, a local lad as well was friendly with him and one of his dogs. I always fancied meeting him while we was up there, but never got round to it though. But did meet T McPee and he put us on to a few spots for a gallop while we was up there :thumbs:

I think alot of people Forget or Don't know courseing deer with dog s has been illegal since the 1950s in Scotland maybe some would like to edit their posts about the eighties and nineties And again remember the Hunting act 2004 does NOT apply to Scotland :bye:

If ye had posted it you were doing it last week or last season even a year or 2 ago with graphic detail i could maybe understand but ffs from the 80's and early 90's :laugh:

Not a capital offense :laugh: be different if it was murder or rape but deer??? Gimme a break!!! They gonna dig my uncle up next for gaffing salmon back in 80's?
