Nope! I had plenty of decent bloodlines before most people considered playing with Goshawks mate . I'm now not interested in anything much to do with the Goshawk Market and will leave it to the guys breeding these massive hawks, bred a few many years ago and now time to move on. I'll run a few on as Gifts for pals to fly and such but its me done in the Goshawk side of things... Quote Link to post

jasper65 6 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Share Posted May 4, 2012 good old pair of harrises that are 2 breeding males are 18 plus doe rings on had a pair of peres years ago only ever layed on egg lol sadly the albidus female has smashed an egg today so a bit of a downer im hopeing for a white male to fly at every thing but if not ill have a white female last years female imprint flew at 3lb 5 sat at 3lb 14 at mo moulting great fether bird take on any slip but not bothered about bunnys so we will have to see how mine plans out you doing any hybrid or are you a no beliver of hybrids i have one hybrid i want to make for my self and that will be that atb wayne thats typical mate with the bloody Goshawks, the amount of times I have left eggs to have some natural Incubation only to find a clumsy female has broke one, they're a nightmare for it Wayne which is why for the last few years I weigh everything down with a little program on the computer, must say percentage wise its been pretty bang on. also remember putting two females back to be P/R a few years ago with a mother that had reared before, I got up one morning to find one of the chicks with its head pulled off on the food shelf and another dead on the floor which had been footed all over, as you can imagine I never let her rear again but the bitch had them back with her for three days before she finally set about them. stopped doing the Hybrids for a while now mate but would love a Imprint Prairie to inseminate if you here of one going anytime? this is more for personal use as I like the prairies . some of these peregrines can be pretty frustrating Wayne with some standing perfect and some which are a complete nightmare until they lay and become receptive before crashing in the gravel. thinik its going to be a funny old year for some breeders includeing myself, I have one old Goshawk thats been standing since 6th April taking semen but still never layed, its too late now as the Donor has just about given up, can be pretty frustrating at times this bloody game ...
