I,ve just cleared an area of garden which was overgrown with nettles, brambles, kitchen sink etc and now I want to pour something over it to stop anything growing back, was thinking caustic soda but not sure, suggestions please ? thanks in advance

Get the local council to turn it into one of these sanitary country parks, I guarantee there will be f**k all left living or worth looking at!!

roundup or avtur. i spilt 40,000 gallon of avtur once :icon_redface: that was in 1984, i went back to the place in 2001 and the ground was still bare

the wife blitzed about 1/4 acres with some strong Roundup.

think she did it a couple of times when it was dry but boy did it clear the place. its now a Veg patch with a Pollytunnel sitting on it which will hopefully feed us some fresh veg for a while ....

where you turn off the A5 to come up to mine somebody took a drum of roundup from the farm and wrote c**t in 10ft letters on the hill in the barley field you could see it as you drove along the A5. that farmer must have upset someone as it was his roundup :whistling:
