Try and stay away from any milk or cheese as ferrets are lactose intolerant and struggle to digest dairy products. I sometimes feed mine a bit of rabbit, but not in big amounts so they don't go and store it in the nest box, where it will go off. 1 Quote Link to post

broonball 38
cheers, i changed to kitten milk to help jill as these kits have got big quick, iv also been givin her rabbit, chicken, eggs, fish . iv been feedin half the kits a plate of the milk while jill fed the other half then swapped, she seemed grateful for the help, all the kits hav now started eatin the same solids as jill i hav been wetting the ferret food on the plate and they come out to get it. they have all opened at least 1 eye each now and are becoming slightly adventurous jill decided to swap hutches the other day so i just let her, it gave me a chance to clean her nest box out which i hadnt done for over a month(it was minging). then she decided she liked the shed better, so she had to be stopped. iv put a feed on here 'ferret kits northumberland' if anyone is wanting a new member or two. they will be ready start to middle of july, they're 5 weeks today. im not wanting anything for the kits jus good honest homes.please check the feed for more info. cheers john Quote Link to post
