tegater 789
Just having a little read a out the new hornady .17 hornet. What a cracking round that sounds like, trajectory of a .223 out to 300, 3600fps, less barrel wear and recoil than the .17 remmington! 20gr bullet. For fox and long range corvids, that sounds like my kind of rifle. Can't wait for some reviews of that one! Quote Link to post

tegater 789
Yes you may be right, but its worth a look at, and I love what they did coming out with the hmr. After all if we didn't look at new calibres we would still all be on muskets. Quote Link to post

tegater 789
We will see, but your first prediction may prove right. One thing is for certain is that some will love it and others won't see the point of it. Not sure whether it can be reloaded yet. Quote Link to post

coldweld 65
Yes it can be reloaded . yes it uses less powder than the .17 rem and .17 fireball Barrel wear ? proberbly less than the rem but about the same as fireball Recoil well all three are not frightening are they. Speed and energy ! Both much lower than the .17 rem and .17 fireball My fireball is pushing a 25gr pill at 3600 with a mild load. Can't comment on any lazer like qualities as not shot the hornet . jamie g 17
it will soon die away unless you reload. the killer over here is the price of factory ammo for it. gun shops over here really like to over charge for the ammo. Quote Link to post
