good one paulus,I have one here but it doesnt come out far enough from the wall to work behind it but maybe a swivel would be the answer.

yes or undo the nut at the top and place a hook underneath like this or a swivel as you say like the one underneath

Is there any kind of hydraulic yoke out there to lift carcasses... Im embaressed to say I often have to get help to hang em, last carcass I did I didnt even hang... Just skinned it on kitchen table

Some kind of hydraulic hook thingy would be beyond handy

get one of these; http://www.thesportshq.com/confidence-door-gym.aspx?affiliate=cse_google&utm_source=google&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=shopping&gclid=CLWY3_bc4a8CFeMLtAodv0U1Aw

Use it often. Get bigger arms.

Or use it to attach a pulley and rope to so you can hoist the goat/deer carcass yourself. If you have an existing child's swing set in the garden, and you can get your truck up to it hang the carcass over the top beam using the truck.

Then you can use the truck to skin it!

I have a winch ready and waiting exactly like the one in the photo below, just was looking for inspiration from the members one here :whistling: The place for skining is at the back of the house so no acess for cars trucks or the like, all manual lifting im afraid.heres an idea I got on google

Pullyblocks CG,i use them all the time with the deer, just attach them to a strong rafter or truss and a child could pick a deer up using them then.

FM,the thing im trying to suss is are there any handy frames that I can put the winch onto.I have very limited space since I did the kennells lately and was hoping someone might have a frame that could be put together and taken apart in a short time that would be strong enough for a big fat billy, lol.I dont want a permanent fixture, just something I could dismantle and erect when necessary,as some times I dont have goats for long periods.I think I will go for the clothes line pole type with an arm extension that the winch can go on.Just feeling the water to see if theres a few bright lads with the job sussed.
