Thats a really deep philosophical question , I suspect the answer would require an understanding of the works of Plato and Aristotle , not to mention a more than average knowledge of genetics , biolog

Which is faster, which do you prefer you bell ends

I can't understand this, Thats what whippets are known for, quick on the turns. I've run my whippets with a friends Pure Saluki's and they couldn't match the whippets on the tight 180-360 degree turns

surely the saluki has a much bigger stride and is taller would that not make the dog faster? in that video that seems to be the case.

Not a very good analogy. An Irish Wolfhound or Deerhound has a much bigger stride and is taller, but I'd bet a Whippet is faster !

Cheers.

Ya right there!

Theres some fast scratch dogs out there that would put most lurchers/salukis/deerhounds etc (if not all) lights out over the sprint, yds for pounds would be embarrasing!!

Aye own both whips and lurchers,

point take'n mate but what i'm saying is surely if the wippet where bigger it would be of a similar speed would it not i mean the wippet was taking 2 strides to the saluki's 1 stride? obviously through years of consentrated breeding the wippet was bred to be small for rabbits. but the irish wolf hound or deerhound are not built for speed are they? i thort they where bred for endurance and stamina in order to catch bigger game, please correct me if i'm wrong.
