maybe if you took a leaf out of his book you could have a dog running 5 or 6 seasons instead of burned out in 2

NO MATE I BELIEVE IF YEA LEAVE THEM TIL THEY GROW UP YEA HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF HAVEING A GOOD DOG FOR 5 OR 6 SEASONS AND NOT ONE THATS FINISHED WHEN ITS 3 OR 4 YEARS OLD

ONE MORE OF HER GIVING THE PAW SHE HAS A LOVELY TEMPERMENT

Thanks for the coments lads with a bit of luck shel make 25 or 26 and she wont see anything until next feb. Im into dogs nearly 40 years so to some of the young lads that start their dogs young iv seen a lot of good dogs finished before they got started because of been entered to young .Irish ladys father was over two years old before he seen anything killed over 40 hares in his first season irish lady started at 16 months and never seen a rabbit to start her ???????????

Do you think rabbits put them off?

What about lamping them on a few rabbits, to get them started for the future on the day time long ears?

A lot say it makes them pull up on hedges, but a lot seem to start them on lamped bunny's as well, confusing stuff, lol..

No rabbits for me day or night i think it dose no good for a hare dog .Some one on here said about sending a young lad out to work to get him used to it well if hes going to be a plaster yer not going to be getting him a eastwing hammer and a chop saw .If a dog is going to be after hares no point in starting it at rabbits wait until it has the age in it and dont be slipping it in let it out on its own and then it wont get the shit run out of it with an old dog holding the hare .
