Roy seem to be in the same mold as bobby Robson , a honourable. Man , just think Harry was up for it and the player seemed to like the idea , let's get behind who ever it is along as he is a ENGLISHM

Im struggling here to remember what Harry Redknapp has actually done to be such a big favourite for the job ... i thnk Hodgson is not as bad as some are making out ... you dont get the England job jus

I agree with that......Hodgson has proven himself a good International manager as well as club manager.......We dont want a Mourinho or Guardiola them guys are great at managing the worlds top stars a

Fergie always describes the England managers job as a poisoned chalice, which is a pretty accurate description.

Wouldn't every managers job be a bit like that though? If it goes well your a hero and if it goes tits up your to blame. I've always thought that an International managers job should be a little easier as you only have certain players to pick from and if they players are not up to scratch and you cant get it out of them then theres not alot you can do. Club supporters can harras there manager as they spend there money and if they get it wrong we like a moan. With International football we all know theres a list of players and thats that.

It's been so long since an England manager had it go well, but a very interesting point Lab. And put like that, it sounds so simple. So if you have a solution, I'm sure you'll be a very rich man!

If i had the solution i'd be f****d if i'd be telling you lot.................. I do think you've missed out your manager once again though. I know the debate is going on about Harry at the minute but i just think he has a quality that could win you stuff. I cant put my finger on it, its just a mixture of man management and that little bit of luck i think......

Straight awayyou have appointed a manager who has everyone talking for the wrong reasons.....i think his first few games will be crucial in seeing where you'll go from there. If it goes well and he does carry that little bit of luck then who knows he might be the man for the job but if it swiongs the other way there will be alot of fans and the media ready to jump on the band wagon and slate him. Can he handle the pressure.....? :hmm:

...the British media has a lot to do with why the England managers job is so shite! they're sat waiting to hammer the bloke into the ground as soon as there's any kind of slip up.

Exactly.......Club managers are not on offer to the general public like the national manager......The mans not even in the job 1 day and he,s already front cover of the national newspapers being humiliated on a national scale for reasons nothing to do with football....f****n disgusting our press,i wonder would they have been so quick to put pictures of monkeys on the front page if Paul Ince had got the job !!

So the mans got a speech impediment big deal i hardly think its going to influence how he manages a football club.....and it wasnt an issue last week !...............any chance them f****n vultures from the press get.......and then later on they,ll start asking why we fail !

A decent man , who , now he,s been given the job , should be given a chance , unfortunatly the press wanted Harry so they will be ready to pounce on any chance they get to say ..I told you so . I hope Hodgson has got the strength of character to come out the other side without too much damage .but those vultures are going to give him a rough ride , thats for sure .

What also annoys me is how if somehow England won something under Hodgson, all of a sudden they'd be kissing his ass all over the front page and making out that they always knew he would do the business. They are a boil on the arse of this country!
