Odd statement coming from a West Ham fan ......We,re English Wilf,that means we follow and support England...................id love to watch Man Utd every week but im from West Ham......in my opinion the club you follow shouldnt be a choice same as the country your from is not a choice......only an opinion like. I would rather watch my club any day of the week mate, course I would like England to win and play good football but the fact is they won't and don't ......... Maybe I am coming at it from an odd angle because I love my football, other than if it's against my club, I want to see the team that plays the nicest football win.......watching kick and rush stuff in the hope of nicking a goal isn't my cup of tea at all. Managers like Harry will give fans so much more enjoyment at club level anyway, they may as well get an amature coach to coach England for all the time that it ever matters and for the standard that they play at......fact is, if you want to see good football played how it should be played you don't do it watching England!! Oh i dont know Wilf i reckon with the players you have you definately have the potential to be a quality side. Just take a certain type of manager to bring that out. For me that manager is Harry and has been for a few years now. Glad too see the men at the top have bottled it again and chosen someone else. Still think it has alot to do with the 'bung' scandal Harry was involved with.............who knows? Been hearing about the quality of our players and our potential for ever and a day mate, no offence but when you put them together on the world stage they look like a mid table SPL team but without the spirit!!! They run out of ideas quickly, resort to " put the big lad up front" , play like the ball is a ticking bomb......it's embarrassing !!! Some of the selections are truly mind boggling !!!..........all of the better teams just play round England cause they know that when it comes down to it, as a team, we don't have the answers and are not comfortable enough with the ball. Thats were the manager thing comes in. Someone who knows the game, someone who doesn't panic. I'm not one for remembering football facts and that but i'm sure you've been pretty unlucky on some goalkeeping errors in the last few tournaments.......probably down to the pressure the media put on the team. Up here its a case of knowing our limits and since 98 not to qualify for a tournament has been shite. I think this World Cup there is an expectation level now for alot of Scotland fans...i'm just not sure if Levien is the man to make it happen Quote Link to post Share on other sites

We have 2 massive training facilities up here in Lennoxtown and Murraypark and they're not producing much hidden Scottish talent so doubt if one or 2 managers sticking it out up here would make any difference. Facts are they have a life to live and families to support so they will go with the money. Its a phrase that gets thrown around a lot......is it a money thing ? do we think when a player playing well on 500 quid a weekgets noticed and go,s to Man Utd on 100,000 a week he should " run around " more or " shout louder "..................what is this passion thing ?.......our players lack technical ability compared to the Spanish.....but i dont think the Spanish have any more passion,determination or will to win than our lads they are just more gifted footballers with better understanding of the game.
