BEST CROSS FOR SCOTTISH LAND

Recommended Posts

there is the salukigrey/whippet, very popular,, the good ole collie grey, and with a splash of saluki blood,, then there is the 3/4grey 1/4 collie still can do the job,,

straight grey/whippet, and again with a touch of good collie blood, Deer/grey/ not so popular now,, but was a decent x, what ever suits you and the land you run,

and I am sure the fellows that have a bull x are champing, because, they will feel there cross is the best, and the fellows who have a bedlington x will feel the same way

How long is a piece of string????????????????????

LOL to the comment above..I totally agree. But something that has stamina but not something that's boring to watch .. there's so many dog xs out there , but because dh x ain't popular no more ,doesn't meen u have to have a bull x because they are ..if its mainly big ears ,get a greyhound lol raise it as a lurcher...Il probably have grief for this..but they didn't use greyhounds in the Waterloo cup because a lurcher was better. Atb with your choice mate

Whippet! not any whippet, a BLUE one.

Don't know what would be better. I'm new to all this but have just got a pup which I'm hoping has a good mix:

Saluki, greyhound X collie, whippet, greyhound

Fingers crossed  I do like my whippet though but only for

Rabbits for me.

What sort of terrain are we talking here? There's so many types of Scottish land, please elaborate?

talking about big ears land you im based only 20 mins from you so basically the same land as you run

I run lurcher to lurcher bred dogs and they do what's asked of them, nowt special just consistent, if however I was an out and out coursing lad pre ban, then probably saluki based dog with a bit whippet in there somewhere for the small fields.
