Reporting a crime online?

Recommended Posts

Like a stuck pig

99.9% sure nothing would be done about it, but if there had been a particular UK agency to report it to I'd have done so and then sent the YouTube fella a message to be expecting a call

I'll have to have a look at Ratreepers link this evening.

Feck them, they report us for EVERYTHING.

Thing is, if one of our lot put up a video online of something illegal, their lot would report it. So fight fire with fire.

you are your own man john do as you want and forget theses fools atb.. .john

That's my point Baw, fight fire with fire, give them a dose of their own medicine, they do plenty wrong themselves.

John if you report it they will get him off his ip address, then lock him up. I know that as I got locked up through my ip address for pics on a different site ;)

That's what I figure Bear (though I doubt he'd get locked up unfortunately), his ISP will give plod his name and address IF they choose to go look for it. Sorry to hear of your troubles!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just had another look at the video. The snares were taken from "the back of the wight", which a little bit of investigation this afternoon I suspect is the West quarter of the Isle of Wight :hmm:

Gonna fire off Hampshire Constab an email...

YIS

Grass and enjoyin' it :tongue2:

Hello,

I was watching YouTube and came across the video in the link below in which the person admits removing and destroying fox snares which do not belong to him. Fox snares are a valuable tool for sheep and fowl farmers as well as gamekeepers and other individuals to stop predation of stock and game. The removal and destruction of these snares is theft and destruction of someones property and is a crime. This has been admitted to by the person who took and destroyed the snares.

This is the link to the video:

It's important to do something about this crime as people like PhantomDog666 believe they are a law unto themselves. The farming and hunting community often experience this type of behaviour and it needs to be dealt with within the law. He has no basis in reason to believe those snares were set for another other than a fox.

It is quite easy to find PhantomDog666 name and address through YouTube and then PhantomDog666's ISP, who will hold his/her name and personal details, address etc.

I am reporting this crime to Hampshire Police as on the YouTube clip PhantomDog666 says the snares were found on the "back of the Wight", which I presume refers to the Isle of Wight.

I would like a response to my email, as I have take a little personal time to gather as much information as I could. I would like if something could be done about this individuals behaviour as this cannot be allowed in civil society.

Thanks you for your time, kind regards,
