Just bought a SilverLine Round nose,d spade from Toolstation for ratting, forged blade and steel shaft,d for less than £20, i,ve sharpend the edge with the grinder and it cuts through roots like a good un, it could be cut and jointed as it as the steel shaft, worth a look IMO. regards, buster..

is it the blue round nose one had mine three months the head shattered when i hit a boulder bulldog are more expensive but alot tougher imo cant go wrong with them

no 2 piece, but she's lasted me 15 years

that sand can be a bit of a twat -- any photos of your digging gear wellies and jackets i`m after some new wellies my postman pat ones have seen better days ..

Yes mate its the Blue one with the forged head, or it was, its now black, take it back, i believe Silverline gear is coverd for life. I,ve welded a tube across the top of the blade on mine as a foot plate, bloody heavy thing to carry about though.

How am i an anti? I have my own spades for digging, i jst wanted ta see if anyone had two piece spades! Dont be gettin smart callin me a muppet either thinkin your hard typin it into a f****n computer!
